Healthy recipes that coast less

eating healthy doesn’t mean paying fortune.

Maybe you’re in the middle of paying off debt and are looking for ways to cut your food budget.

Or maybe you’re saving for vacation and want to lower your expenses for a couple of weeks so that you can save even more. Quite possibly money is super tight because of a layoff or other stressful situation and you have no choice but to spend less.

If you’re trying to eat healthier, don’t just buy a bunch of random healthy things at the store. You need foods that go together or you’ll have tons of ingredients that you can’t make anything with.

When I make my grocery list for the week, I also make a separate list of all of the meals that I’m going to make with the food I’m buying.

some ingredients are a most for me like shia seed … seed, oat, milk, and vegetables.

i buy almond to make my own almond milk and leave some for snaks, i also make my own ricotta cheese from mik snd so my protein and many other thing that coast much much less than buy it from the market.

ill share with you few recipes that are a most for me.

ricotta cheese:

Ingredients

1/2 gallon whole milk
1 cup heavy cream (optinal)
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup lemon fresh squeeze juice
1 Tbsp vinegar

Pour the milk, cream, into a large pot and gently bring up to a light simmer and resist the urge to stir – it will affect the final texture. As soon as the milk just barely begins to bubble, add the salt lemon and vinegar. let it boil (less than a minute)You will begin to see the milk solids separate and rise to the top. Again, don’t stir. Set aside for a few minutes to cool.
Line a colander with a few layers of cheesecloth or heavy duty paper towels. Allow the ricotta to drain to your desired thickness – the longer it goes, the thicker it will get.
Transfer to a container and refrigerate for up to one week.

almond milk:

Ingredients

1 cup almonds , soaked in water for 4-6 hours
4 cups filtered water
1 Drain the soaked almonds and rinse them well. (Discard the soaking water.) Combine all of the almonds and fresh water in a blender, and blend the almond have broken down and the milk looks creamy.

Strain the almond milk through a nut-milk bag or cheese cloth, squeezing well to extract the extra liquid. You can save the remaining almond pulp for another recipe, or discard.
Store the almond milk in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. (You can freeze leftovers, if needed, for up to 3 months, too!)
i will post soon a recipe with the leftovers.

try these and let me know your opinion.

many healthy money saver recipes will be posted soon.

Intermittent fasting, weight loss #weightloss #beautyblog #bloggingtips #bloggerlife #ontheblog

struggling with weight loss?? did you try many diets?? do you get bored easily from your diet??
yes, we are all the same
after all these struggles i found the (IF) Intermittent fasting

Intermittent fasting for women is an effective weight loss approach especially for women over 40.
As we age, losing weight becomes more and more challenging. Intermittent fasting provides an easy way for women to lose weight and achieve great health.

The advantages of intermittent fasting for women are well-established and science-backed. But why is it specifically beneficial for women over 40?

Weight Loss, wich is the most important thing for us.

Lowering Cancer Risk
IF has proven to be an important prognostic tool against cancer.

Reducing Diabetes Risk
It does so by lowering insulin level in the body.

Anti-aging
Intermittent fasting for women over 40 can help them live a longer, healthier life as compared to those who follow a regular diet plan.

Decreased Cravings
Another benefit of intermittent fasting for women over 40 is decreased cravings. Switching to this diet alters your eating habits and naturally help you eat lesser than usual.

There are going to be times when you break your fast earlier than you wanted to and that’s OKAY!
No one is perfect, that includes you!
The less stress you place on yourself, the more likely you’ll stick with intermittent fasting long term.
If you break your fast early today, you’ll always have tomorrow to do better.

what to eat when you are on (IF)

Prefer Salads
Even if you don’t have to count calories on fasting, don’t over eat (please). Raw vegetables are a great source of vitamins, phytonutrients, minerals, and other useful substances.
So, try breaking your fast with a big bowl of salad containing fresh green vegetables. Use olive oil as a dressing and voila, you have a delicious homemade salad right in front of you.

Eat Less Sugar
allows your insulin levels to decrease and your fat cells to release stored sugar to be used up as energy.
In order to burn fat your insulin levels must go down and it is this principle that intermittent fasting is based on.

workout
it could be a 15 minutes of walking or running or any activity you love.

Get Enough Sleep
Poor sleep has been linked to increased hunger and weight gain.

Take a Probiotic

i am on intermittent fasting for 5 months now, my first meal at 12:00 and my last one at 8:00 and sometimes at 7 or 6. some times i break my fasting early, but overall i feel so happy with the results, and my skin look younger and fresher. the most important thing i’m loosing weight without suffering and i’m not boring.

Hair loss

Loosing your hair?? feel upset??
Hair loss in women is pretty common these days unfortunately. You know that thing where you wash you hair and look down in the shower to see lots of hair in the plughole and you can’t believe it’s all come out of your head!

It’s normal to lose some hair every day, but if you start loosing loads, it can be quite a worry. In order to stop it happening, like most things, we need to think about what has caused it

Extreme stress
Extreme stress can cause sudden hair loss. The shedding could last several months. It is important that we know how to relax and wind down. Life is meant to enjoyed after all! Minimizing stress will reduce your chances of experiencing hair loss.

Hair products containing toxic chemicals
Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) is found is nearly all shampoos available in shops. SLS has been proven to corrode hair follicles and impede hair growth. There are shampoos available made from natural ingredients which do not contain SLS. Also Over-treated hair can lead to hair loss due to the toxic chemicals found in styling products.

Extreme weight loss and crash diets
You may lose weight with crash diet, but you may also lose your hair. If you have lost 15 pounds, then it may only be after 3-6 months when you notice any hair loss. However, hair should grow back after you return to eating a healthy balanced diet. If your diet is deficient in Vitamin A or protein, then you are more likely to experience hair loss.

Tight Hairstyles
If you wear your hair up tightly or use rollers too often, then that can also lead to hair loss. So relax and let your hair down, and then it should grow back.

Aging (oupsss)
As we age, the rate in which our hair grows, slows down. Hair strands get smaller and have less pigment, and hair becomes thinner, finer, and grey. In order to keep your hair healthy, eat whole foods which help to keep your body youthful, as well as your hair.

Vitamin B12 deficiency
A lack of vitamin B12 can leave you feeling tired and low on energy, sound familiar? Well, the fun doesn’t stop there, it can also take it’s toll on your hair…

There are many causes for hair loss, but also many remedies too, will list it in another post soon, and hope this one was helpful.

ME TIME, SELF CARE

We as women have more responsibilities now than ever before. It’s not surprising that self care sometimes just doesn’t happen for moms.

Think about it for a second. Do you put Your kid’s needs first before you? Your significant other? Your business if you’re an entrepreneur? Your job? your dog?

No matter who you place first before you, it’s important to prioritize taking care of yourself.

There are big reasons why self care should be a part of your daily routine specially if we are moms

Physically : Our bodies aren’t quite as resilient as they were in our teens and 20s. We need more time to recover after a big night out, for example, and our metabolism just isn’t what it used to be.

Mentally : We tend to take on more responsibility in life. Whether it’s homeownership, a management position at work, or starting a family, our attention is being pulled in more directions that we can sometimes handle. We need to be able to stay sharp and efficient in our day to day lives.

Emotionally : To be successful in life, we need to approach our day with a positive mindset. Unless we take time to recharge our emotional batteries, we can start to feel run down and overwhelmed by the demands of everyday life.

The first self care rule is to see the positive side of things

Our world is a really negative place nowadays and constantly surrounding ourselves with it can be a huge damper on your mood and how you see the world.

Train your mind to see the positive side of things, and focus on the good instead of the bad. Learn to live an attitude of gratitude and you’ll be much happier and attract positivity into your life.

Find time to go out with a friend

Self-care doesn’t mean you have to be by yourself. I think spending some time with other adults is important for us to stay sane. Especially if you’re a stay at home mom.

There are many thing u can do for self care like workout, meditation, taking dance class, a spa day…. And and more.

here some that won’t coast you money

Make a homemade facemask, when u see ur skin glowing u will feel younger and happier.
Take a long shower/bath, This is usually my go-to for when I need some me-time. i take a long hot shower & focus on me. If you prefer baths then you can use bath bombs for an even more relaxing bath.
Buy adult coloring book, have a daily walk, read a motivating book.

No matter which occupation you’re in or if you’re still in school, our lives are so busy and full of chaos in this day and age that a lot of times we put ourselves on the back burner and don’t properly take care ofourselves.
self care or as i like to name it ME TIME allows you take a step back and assess your life. It gives you an overall perspective on how you’re doing in each important area.

FALL WINTER SKIN CARE TIPS

Just like clothing and the leaves on trees changes, so does my skin for fall and winter. My winter skin care regimen is completely different than summer. If your skin is like mine, it misbehaves when the temperature starts to change. It goes from an oily glowworm to a dry saltine cracker. It is nothing nice.

Tips For the Fall Winter Skin Care

For most of us, changing products and routines for this time of year is a must. That means I’m not only assessing my winter hair needs and changing products but, I am doing the same for my skin. I wanted to share a few winter skin care tips to keep your skin looking great for the fall and winter.

Water

We all know about the recommended 8 glasses of water per day for overall hydration: however, beautiful skin starts from the inside out. Drinking water will keep your skin blemish free and give it a beautiful glow. I know I can tell the difference when I am properly hydrated, opposed to not. My skin barely needs additional moisturizer when I am hydrated. In contrast, when I have been slacking with my water intake, my skin is dry and patchy even when I am moisturizing daily.

Sunscreen

Yes, we need sunscreen during the winter. The skin needs to be protected during the winter from UV rays. Essentially, our skin needs to protection year round. I enjoy my youthful skin and would not appreciate premature aging or worse yet, skin cancer. (For me I’m using @neutrogena sunscreen) .

Oil based products

Most of us tend to be drier during the winter months due to cold temperatures and dry air. Oil based products are thicker and last longer. These products give skin the much-needed hydration that is required along with having oil that can seal in moisture. The same way you moisturize and seal your hair, you need to do the same for your skin. In short, opt for heavier oil-based products during the winter to maximize the benefits of moisturizing. I prefer and recommend body butters and creams over standard lotions during winter months. (I use @nowfoods Shea butter).

Moisturize Daily

Moisturizing daily is important to keep your skin looking great. In order to reap the benefits of your oil based products and proper moisture, you must be consistent. If you have any sense of vanity, just think of moisturizing daily as a wrinkle prevention plan (wrinkle insurance). I don’t know about you but, I refuse to “grow old gracefully.” I will be fighting it tooth and nail (excuse my clichés). I recently slacked on my daily moisturizing and let me tell you, my skin is nothing pretty at the moment. I am moisturizing and using moisturizing masks like crazy. Even if you do not wear makeup, moisturize daily. If you (now I’m using l’oreal moisturizer) .

Scrubs and Exfoliating Cloths

Scrubs and exfoliating cloths remove dead cells and prevent dry patches from forming. This will keep your skin healthy and in most cases smooth. I know using an exfoliating cloth helps me prevent breakouts. I am not acne prone normally but if I do not keep my skin debris free and my pores clear, I will turn into a bumpy not so happy mess.

I hope you found these fall and winter skin care tips helpful. The summary; drink water, moisturize, us heavier products and products containing sunscreen. make sure you have exfoliated to prevent patches of dry skin. The best base for makeup application is great skin. However, if you do not wear makeup it is still important to take care of your skin

Moccha anti aging mud mask

we know that skincare doesn’t need to be overly complicated to give amazing results.
And it especially doesn’t need to be filled with unhealthy chemicals.

Let’s take a look at a few ingredients to use for masking

Coffee
Yes, the very coffee you probably drink every single day! As you know, coffee contains caffeine. But did you know that when applied topically, caffeine can help to increase circulation to the skin? This not only gives skin a healthy-looking rosy glow, but also increases the nutrients being carried to the upper levels of the skin.

Cacao Powder
Ah, chocolate! Now you may know that cacao is an antioxidant-packed superfood that helps to neutralize cell-damaging free radicals. In fact, there is a TON of proof chocolate IS healthy!

And when applied topically, cacao brings these same benefits to the skin. Now antioxidants are critical for skin health — they not only help prevent premature aging, but also prevent the skin’s sebum from oxidizing and becoming comedogenic (pore-clogging).

Clay
OK so mud and clay skin products are more mainstream than coffee and chocolate. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t underrated compared to all of those fancy-in-the-pantsy peptides and ceramides and yada yada yada.

Clays help to draw excess oil and impurities from pores, helping to refine the skin and reduce blemishes. Bentonite clay is especially prized for its ability to attract toxins and impurities and draw them from the skin.

These three powerful ingredients team up for one luxurious mask…
We’ve got protective antioxidants, stimulating caffeine, and clarifying clay. It can even double as a scrub.

Diy face wipes

This time of year we all get motivated to crank up the exercise. Working up a sweat is good for many things, including getting your skin glowing, increasing energy and reducing stress. But it can also lead to a bit of acne when trapped sweat clogs pores . When you don’t have time to shower, these DIY face wipes are perfect for a post-exercise wipe down for your face and chest.

Supplies needed
Witch hazel (look for one without alcohol, like Thayers)
Dried roses for infusing
Aloe
Cotton face pads (preferably organic ones like here)
Jar with lid

.

Rose infused patches

Instructions

First, combine a cup of witch hazel with about 1/2 cup of dried roses in a jar with a lid. Let it sit for 1-2 weeks in a cool dry place. If you run out of patience before 2 weeks, no worries. The longer it sits, the stronger the infusion.

When you’re ready to make the face pads, strain out the rose pieces. The witch hazel turns a really pretty shade of red!

Witch Hazel and Aloe Face Cleanser Pads
Add 1 part aloe to 3 parts witch hazel and stir together until combined. You can also add a couple of drops of essential oils for your skin type, if desired.

Stack your face pads in a jar and pour the mixture over them. Give it about an hour for the pads to soak up all of the liquid and u can start using it. #diy #skincare #skincareroutine #stayyoung #rosewater #witchhazel #antiwrinkles
